FAQs - Your frequently asked questions (or should be asked)
1. Can labs detect if I smoke an e-cigarette?
Yes, labs can even detect nicotine from your skin, as well as in your urine. The procedures for labs to follow have been reported in chemical journals, so many labs now know how to perform sensitive tests for nicotine and THC.
2. How do I know the ingredients in Radical Detox will work?
Our ingredients and formulation are backed by many medical and scientific publications which are posted at the bottom of the "Ingredients & Refs" section on this website. 3. Why don't the other detox drinks work?
Other “detox” drinks are not formulated to help your liver and kidneys get toxins out of your system. About all other detox products do is dilute, so you might as well drink sugared water.
4. How about alcohol and weed?
Yes, the ingredients in Radical Detox help you get rid of brewed and herbal toxins. By the way, there is no medical evidence that any detox helps remove cocaine from your system. No detox works for that toxin.
5. How about marijuana?
Yes, use as directed.
6. If I am a large person, would I need extra Radical Detox?
If you are heavy, over 200 lbs. you probably need to use 2 kits simultaneously. This means you would combine and take two of Step A at once, then after a few hours combine and take two of Step B at once.
7. Should I drink Rad Detox on an empty stomach?
It is best to drink the first bottle A with a 1/2 full stomach. It is OK to drink with a snack or a small burger.
8. Why does the use of Radical Detox require specific time periods?
The first drink, bottle A, delivers the nutrients required for proper detox and these take a few hours to properly function. You then need time to urinate out the toxins in your bladder. The second drink, Bottle B, should be taken to calm your nerves.
9. How about heroin or oxy?
Use as directed.
10. How about cocaine?
Nope, there is nothing on the market which helps detox cocaine.
11. What is a xenobiotic?
A foreign biochemical or chemical which is not naturally biosynthesized or commonly ingested. Examples of xenobiotics are heroin, marijuana, oxycodone, etc. and toxins such as pollutants, bacterial and fungal toxins and toxins from plants and animals.
12. Where, in the human body, are most chemicals detoxed?
The organ for detoxification is the liver. This is where the important Phase II detox takes place. This is where your body cleans up toxins and where the active ingredients of Radical Detox work.
13. Will Radical Detox work to quickly remove PEDs and steroids? (Performance enhancing products - stuff the Russians hand out like candy). Most likely not quickly (depends on the exact PED). PEDs and steroids accumulate in slow metabolizing fat cells. Many tests for PEDs are random-surprise tests. If you are an athlete don't take PEDs.
14. Is Radical Detox a drug or a nutraceutical?
Radical Detox is not a drug, it is a dietary supplement - a nutraceutical. It is a combination of very specific ingredients required by the liver for human detox. By detox, we mean removal of toxins and xenobiotics from your bloodstream and liver.
15. Other detox drinks have vitamins and minerals and Radical Detox doesn't have many. Why?
The human detox process does not directly depend on the typical vitamins or minerals. Radical Detox does not contain unnecessary ingredients, just ingredients that help remove toxins.
16. What is Phase II detox?
A scientific term for the most important step of detox. Scientists use Phase II to describe the key detoxification process of hundreds of xenobiotics (toxins) which takes place in the human liver and performed by many enzymes. The Phase II detox process is catalyzed by 22 similar enzymes called UGT (or UDP) glucuronic acid transferases. These enzymes have an absolute requirement for the nutrients uracil, sulfate and ribose, which are not provided in other “detox” drinks.
17. Why does Radical Detox only come in one flavor?
We do not use artificial flavors or artificial colorants. We lightly flavor Radical Detox with good natural orange. Add your favorite sports drink, iced tea, coffee or water if you wish.
18. Why is Radical Detox delivered as a powder and not a liquid?
Convenience and portability. It’s easy enough to add water or your own preferred liquid, shake and drink. Add your favorite sports drink. Much cheaper to ship, too.
19. Why have other detox drinks been around for years?
Advertising and more advertisements of products which do not really help you detox, but for which you pay.
20. Why do you have 5-HTP, L-theanine, glutamine and zinc in Radical Detox?
These nutrients specifically address symptoms which build up during and after detox. The removal of some toxins can make you “shaky”, anxious and itchy. These calming nutrients are not provided in any other detox drink since real xenobiotic detox is not possible without Phase II nutrients.
21. How does 5-HTP work?
5-HTP is quickly taken into the bloodstream and then transformed into the calming neurological biochemical, serotonin, by some of your own enzymes. This neurotransmitter acts directly to calm excited nerve endings. The beneficial effects of 5-HTP and serotonin have been known for decades.
22. Can I use Radical Detox to rid my body of toxins as a simple detox?
Radical Detox pulls out all of the toxins such as marijuana, heroine, oxy, morphine, and many more, for good. The complete detox for these toxins. It helps pull out a lot of the cannabinoids but not all. Cannabinoids are not water soluble so they accumulate in people’s fat cells. Radical Detox does an excellent job of removing marijuana, but a few days later the marijuana comes back into the bloodstream plasma - but in a lower amount than before. All the other detox drinks do is dilute.
